Overview of the Product History Report


The Product History Report provides a detailed record of every action related to a specific product, enabling merchants to gain a deep understanding of their product movement dynamics and make precise inventory management decisions.

This report differs from the general Inventory History Report in that it focuses on a single product, offering:

  • Detailed Tracking: Monitor every action performed on the selected product and track quantity changes.
  • Focused Analysis: Understand the performance of a specific product individually.
  • Issue Resolution: Document operations for warranty or return purposes.

 

How to Access the Product History Report

  1. From the main dashboard, navigate to the Inventory Reports section.
  2. A drop-down list will appear — select Product History Report.
  3. You will be directed to the report page, which consists of several sections:

Filtering and Search Tools

At the top of the page, you’ll find tools to customize the displayed data. The data table will only appear after entering the following mandatory filters:

  • Date Field (From – To): Specify the period for displaying product movements.
  • Product: Select the specific product to review.
  • Search Button: Apply the filters to generate the desired results.

 Data Table

The table provides a complete record of the selected product with the following columns:

  • Product: The name of the selected product.
  • Action: Indicates the type of operation performed on the product. Common values include:

§  Inventory In: The product was added or modified from the inventory section.

§  Product: The product was added or edited from the products section.

§  Sale out: The product was ordered through the website.

§  Sale Return: The product was returned to inventory when the order is canceled

  • Comment: Additional details about the action performed on the product
  • Available Quantity: The number of items currently available in stock.
  • Updated By: The username of the person who performed the action.
  • Date & Time: The exact date and time of the action.
